Celebrating Black Wealth, Creativity, and Community
Overview
Blavity Fest is a two-day experience focused on Black creativity, wealth, and community. For the 2025 festival, I led the design of the official event website. My work included shaping the site structure, applying the brand's visual language, and designing a responsive system that supported both early promotion and day-of use. The site needed to clearly communicate the schedule, pass types, and speaker sessions while capturing the energy of the event. I made regular updates as new content came in, including speakers, sessions, and important logistics.

Process
Early wireframes through final visuals and QA
I handled the full design process from early wireframes through final visuals and QA. Using the brand guide created by the Creative Director, I translated the visual direction into a flexible layout system that worked across devices. I collaborated with stakeholders to shape the site structure and support content planning. We focused on making the lineup, passes, and schedule easy to access and understand on both desktop and mobile.

Data Driven Design
Understanding barriers to ticket purchases and where users experienced friction
To understand where users were dropping off or feeling unsure, I led user testing through Lyssna. I created task based scenarios and follow up questions, then recruited participants who matched our audience.
I watched how people navigated the site, what made them feel confident, and where they felt stuck. From there, I organized the insights and shared them with the team. This led to updates that improved clarity, simplified decisions, and supported ticket purchases.

The final site supported thousands of visitors leading up to and during the festival.
It helped attendees quickly find what they needed, whether they were checking the schedule or deciding which pass to get. The site brought together key content in a way that felt simple and alive, staying true to the brand's tone while making things easier for users in real time.
